Amazing Art Cards! FUNdraiser Project

This project features the art of your students or community! This is a fantastic fundraiser opportunity for organizations all over Ontario*. Take unique works of art from your community and have them turned into professional greeting cards that are boxed and ready to sell for a profit.

Our unique process allows us to produce boxes of high-quality 5x7 cards with 30 distinct pieces of your student’s art for approximately $1/card. Comparable gift sets are $35 and feature generic art that isn’t unique to your efforts, community or goals.

We suggest you sell these boxes for $40 each, and direct a full $10 of each sale to your fundraiser, but you’re welcome to set any price you want.

The theme of the cards can match the goals of the fundraiser, they can match the season in which you intend to sell them… or they can just be a showcase of the amazing art your class produces year-round.

We professionally digitize your student’s art and convert them into high-quality, printed art cards on heavy stock. We package them in retail-ready, clear boxes of 30 cards complete with envelopes and a unique branding sticker for your collection.

Prices begin at $30/box* (HST included)

NOTE: The minimum order commitment is 10 boxes ($300 including HST), paid at time of delivery of the first set. Additional sets may be ordered (or re-ordered) at any time in print-runs of 10 or more. If you have questions, please Contact Us.

* Unlike our other popular hands-on programs there is no in-class lesson component to this project. All of the steps can be done by email, phone and shipping services. This project is intended to fill the niche of “unique fundraiser ideas” that we get asked for frequently. If Shipping is required to complete this project additional one-time (not per box) fees may apply.

The design and layout work is done by Panda Prints of Waterloo, Ontario and the cards are printed and packaged right here in Ontario. We support local jobs, entrepreneurs and artists whenever possible.

Project Produced in Partnership with Panda Prints. ;)

Fundraising Ideas:

Creating the art:

  1. Have your entire class design at least one piece each, potentially with a theme, and then have a competition for the remaining spots to fill up to 30.

  2. Host a school-wide competition for the art and pick a few pieces from each grade to be included.

  3. Gather members of your community (it doesn’t even need to be a school) and create art in support of one of your initiatives.

  4. The art can be drawings, paintings, photographs or any other flat medium that can fit in an 8x10 frame (for size reference).

What to fund-raise for?

  • A local charity or support organization.

  • A nutrition for learning program at your school.

  • New playground equipment or a field renovation.

  • STEAM education devices for your classes.

  • An event that enriches and connects your community.

A FUNDtastic Legacy:

Our prototype class (art pictured above) at Ryerson Public School in Cambridge, Ontario, has decided to fund-raise during their fall open house and direct the proceeds to the Downie Wenjack Fund in support of the Legacy Schools Program. They created art inspired by Indigenous artists across Canada and both the student artist and the inspiration are indicated on the back of the cards.

The project is called “Ryerson ReconciliACTION: Indigenous Inspirations” and was a huge amount of fun to work through with the class. We commend these students for “doing something” and are honoured to have been part of this process and campaign.

If you’d also like to DO SOMETHING, please consider donating directly to the Downie Wenjack Fund here.
